Luigi assists clients in the strategic design and execution of tax-efficient corporate structures, particularly in the context of M&A, private equity transactions, group reorganizations, and liquidity events. His focus extends beyond deal execution to long-term value preservation and efficient wealth extraction for ultimate beneficial owners.

As both a lawyer and chartered accountant in Italy, Luigi brings a fully integrated legal and fiscal perspective to complex strategic decisions. He regularly advises boards of directors, shareholders, and senior management in high-complexity environments, including cross-border structures, regulated industries, and situations of financial stress.

Luigi also represents clients in complex tax disputes, particularly those arising from extraordinary transactions, international structures, or sophisticated financial arrangements. His litigation experience complements his structuring work, allowing him to anticipate contentious risks at the design stage and to manage sensitive proceedings with strategic and reputational awareness. He has developed significant experience in the implementation of holding structures, trusts, and other governance and wealth preservation tools, overseeing their practical execution end-to-end and coordinating multidisciplinary teams across jurisdictions.

  • Advising a prominent U.K. asset Management Company in the divestiture of its majority stake in an Italian financial institution
  • Acting for local management in the management buy-out of a European financial data provider and subsequent sale to the world market leader for financial data feed company
  • Advising a U.S. based aerospace corporation in the tax structure and the subsequent acquisition of a European group with 26 subsidiaries located in 13 countries
  • Advising one of the largest insurance companies in the world based in France, on the tax structure of its insurance products for their distribution in Europe
  • Advising a U.S. insurance company on the structure for the establishment of its presence in Italy
