The firm secured an important victory for a class of publishers challenging Google’s ad tech practices.
U.S. District Judge Kevin Castel denied Google’s motion for summary judgment in its entirety, clearing the way for the class to pursue approximately $1.5 billion, before trebling, in damages at trial. The class alleges that Google monopolized the digital advertising market and overcharged publishers for use of its ad exchange, AdX, and publisher ad server, DFP. The class will now have the opportunity to present its claims and seek damages at trial.
